Meet Terri Parker, LCSW, LCDC
Terri L. Parker, LCSW, LCDC has years of experience working with individuals and families of all ages. Ms. Parker became the Program Director of Children’s Services at Mental Health America Houston in the 1990’s, educating hundreds of students, teachers, and parents on child abuse prevention strategies. A graduate of Texas Woman’s University, she was awarded Social Work Student of the Year, then received her Masters degree at Texas A&M University- Commerce. A yearlong internship at Mayhill Hospital solidified her passion for working in the mental health setting. Ms. Parker worked as a Mobile Mental Health Assessor for University Behavioral Health before she went on to hone her skills in family and individual counseling in the palliative care setting. Ms. Parker worked in palliative care for three years, utilizing her counseling skills working with individuals, teens, and families regarding family functioning, grief, co-occurring diagnoses, and end of life issues. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.
Ms. Parker is a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers, as well as the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation.
